The following August will surely be a hot one- particularly in Jerusalem: five consecutive nights this late August will unfold a diversity of sound and color, combined into a spectrum of new artistic creations and tendencies.
HaZira Performance Art - in its support for new, original cultural artistic expressions, with the financial help of the "Jerusalem Municipality" will turn the central city area into a spectacularly diverse mosaic of multiple art form: the opening night will be dedicated to the multi-media art form, with the opening act "Psifasim" by Yuval Avital - evolving artist active in Italy and Europe:
artists of different creative backgrounds will combine and create together, discovering new and diverse forms of creative communication.
Second night will be in sign of Middle Eastern and Mediterranian folk culture: influential performance art works of different nations such as: Persian, Greek, Romanian, Yemenite and more. This night's main event will star "Cununitza Ensemble" – an original Romanian gipsy ensemble.
Third night will commemorate the Jewish cultural inspiration that the city of Jerusalem breeds to its artists. This day will include a premiere performance: "The Hovering Tower" – newly composed text segments of the ancient Jewish "mishna",
coming from the "Ha'oman Chai Ensemble" that brought us "Writings From Within".
Fourth day is mostly dedicated to fresh musical groups and will take place in different show-sites around town.
The festival will come to an end at Yellow Submarine Club with live dj's and a concert party by the following music groups: Boom Pam, Zvuv Im Groove (The Groovy Fly) and Dj Dori Adar.
The Summer Nights Festival rotates around different local cultural centers that the audience will be able to migrate to and from: Khan Theatre, Lev-Smadar Cinema Hall, Sergey Courtyard, The Third Ear and many pubs and coffee-shops involved in the artistic happening.
The true muse of this festival is non other then the city of Jerusalem with it's broad spectrum of colors, fragrances and tastes that will be artistically and culturally reflected in this mosaic festival.

Fire From Water – a dance masquerade for all ages
Fire From Water is a theatrical dance show that unfolds the myth of the world's creation. The tale is based on biblical and mythological motives, using modern theatrical costume and storytelling techniques which mix together the different versions of the story into a magical theatrical journey for all ages.

Playback Theater - folk tales
The playback technique uses psychodrama principals in storytelling improvisation.
Each member of the audience may step up to the storytellers chair and give the corner stone to the actor's interpretation, following the audience member's personal story. The audience is invited to come with ethnic family tales.
